More for Eddleman

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

On this hand, Mark Eddleman limped in from middle position, Sam Legocki called from the hijack seat, Dwyte Pilgrim called from the cutoff seat, the player in the small blind completed the bet before Ari Engel checked his option in the big blind.

After the dealer fanned the {J-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Spades} flop, the first three players checked to Legocki. He bet 5,500, and only Eddleman made the call.

The turn was the {7-Spades}, and Eddleman checked. Legocki checked behind, and the dealer landed the {2-Clubs} on the river. Eddleman bet 10,800, and Legocki folded.

Kevin Eyster opened the action with a raise from middle position to 5,000. Jake Haller called from the next seat, also in middle position, Mark Eddleman called from the hijack seat, and the player in the big blind called.

The four players were prompted with the flop of {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, and action checked to Haller. He bet 11,000, Eddleman called, and the other two players folded.

The turn was the {4-Clubs}, and Haller bet 14,000. Eddleman stuck around with a call, and the dealer completed the board with the {3-Hearts}. After Haller checked, Eddleman bet 16,300. Haller took some time with the decision, then called, but couldn't beat the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} that Eddleman turned over. Haller mucked his hand, and Eddleman won the pot.

Headphones May Have Cost Eddleman 60,000

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Mark Eddleman called an all-in bet from Greg Burns. Eddleman said he didn't hear the all-in announcement from Burns, but the floor confirmed a call because the player and dealer announced that Burns was all in, according to the table. Eddleman had thought he was just calling a smaller bet amount.

Burns had the {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}, and Eddleman had the {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. The board ran out {2-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{10-Spades}, and Eddleman doubled Burns up.

Philachack's Nines Hold

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

From under the gun, John Myung raised to 4,700. Play folded over to the player in the hijack seat, and he reraised to an even 20,000. Action then moved to Andy Philachack in the big blind, and he reraised all in for around 65,000. Myung tanked for a little bit, then folded. The player in the hijack seat called all in for right around 45,000.

Philachack tabled the {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, and he was up against the {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} for his smaller-stacked opponent.

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}, and Philachack's nines held up to give him the win.

Eddleman Hits a Rush

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

During that last break, Mark Eddleman stopped by our media desk to let us know that he went on quite the run in the final 15-20 minutes of Level 12. At last count, Eddleman had around 180,000 in chips, but he's now up to about 350,000 or so. That's good for the current chip lead, but there's still plenty of poker to be played here on Day 1b.

Maury Solano was Day 1a's chip leader with 511,500, and we'll see if Eddleman can catch him as the night comes to a close.
