Mike Wang

While the rest of the field was heading on break Mike Wang and Pierre Le got involved in a pot. Le opened for 10,000, Wang popped it to 23,500, Le called and the flop came {9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}. Le checked, Wang bet 28,500 and Le shoved for around 180,000. Wang called holding pocket tens and was good against Le's pocket eights. The board completed {2-Clubs}{Q-Spades}, Le was eliminated and Wang went on break without really stacking or counting his chips.

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante
Andy Hwang
Andy Hwang

A player in middle position bet 12,000 on a flop of {3-Hearts}{9-Spades}{j-Spades} and got two calls from late position before Andy Hwang woke up with a big raise to 60,000 in the big blind. The bettor folded, as did the first caller, but a player on the button was stickier. He called most of his stack, leaving himself just a few thousand back.

"What do I need to dodge?" Hwang asked, dropping in a few chips after the {2-Clubs} turn.

Hwang: {9-Hearts}{3-Spades}
Opponent: {8-Spades}{5-Spades}

It was spades he was fading, and the river was black but a {6-Clubs}.
