Wright Doubles

With the board reading {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, there were two checks to Larry Wright who pushed out an oversized bet of 7,900 into the pot. The next player to act called and the two who checked folded their cards.

The turn was the {7-Diamonds} and Wright moved out another stack of yellow t1,000 chips and black t100 chips. His opponent shrugged and announced that he was all in which was actually all in for Wright who only had about around 3,000 left behind after that bet. Wright called and showed {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for a turned flush and was killing his opponent's {J-Spades}{3-Spades} for a straight.

The {6-Clubs} fell on fifth street and completed the board, awarding Wright a double up. Wright made note to tell us that he was down to 2,100 at one point during the day and after some griding is currently sitting on about 45,000.

Herring Chipping Up

We arrived at Heath Herring's table with the board reading {J-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and about 9,000 in the pot.

Action was on Herring's opponent, faced with a bet of 7,000. After a few moments he called, but mucked when Herring tabled {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} for the ace-high flush.

Dolan and Kruger Clash Again; Kruger Eliminated

With the flop reading {7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, Justin "Choctaw" Kruger led out for 1,500 only to find John Dolan raise the action to 4,000. The rest of the players folded and Kruger flat called the bet.

The turn was the {6-Spades} and Kruger led out for 5,200. Dolan thought about his action for about a minute before opting to call. The board paired on the river when the {5-Clubs} hit and Kruger moved all in for about 17,000. Dolan quickly called and Kruger showed {J-Clubs}{9-Spades}. Dolan, however, tabled {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for nines and fives with the ace kicker, sending Kruger to the rail.

Kruger talked with us afterward and informed us that he will indeed be firing a third bullet during Day 1c. Dolan, however, is sitting on one of the biggest stacks in the room today with 65,000 in chips.
