Price's Bluff Fails

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Oliver Price opened the hijack with a raise to 32,000, and Igor Devkin three bet to 70,000 from the small blind. The big blind quickly folded, but Price had bigger plans. The Brit four bet to 174,000, and after some thinking Devkin made the call.

Both players checked the {2-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} on the flop, and {4-Clubs} on the turn. The river came the {2-Hearts} and Devkin checked again.

Price cut out 128,000, and slid it to the middle. Devkin took his time, but after several minutes he made the call.

Price showed {K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, Devkin proudly opened {A-Clubs}{K-Spades} and took it down.

[Removed:2] Eliminated in 13th Place ($18,400)

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

"What happened?" asked Nicolas Chouity as [Removed:2] walked by. "Raise, call, bet, bet, bet" said Maksoud, explaining that he was the one calling.

Antonio Buonanno had opened before the flop, and Maksoud had made the call.

Buonanno continued to fire flop ({5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}), turn ({9-Clubs}), and river ({K-Clubs}). Maksoud made the call all the way with {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, but it turned out he was rivered as Buonanno showed up with {K-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}.

Nikolay Baryshnikov Eliminated in 14th Place ($18,400)

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Action folded to Nikolay Baryshnikov on the button, and he shoved his entire stack forward. Nicolas Chouity in the small blind made the call, his neighbor folded.

It was ace-jack for Baryshnikov, but Chouity had better with pocket kings.

An ace appeared on the flop, but so did a third king for Chouity. Turn and river were blanks, and Baryshnikov made his exit in 14th place.

Chouity's Big Bluff Fails

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

We picked up the action on a {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} board, and both Nicolas Chouity (big blind) and Dimitrios Ballas (late position) checked.

The {7-Spades} fell on the river, and Chouity moved 109,000 forward. Ballas thought deep and long, and eventually someone called the clock on him.

With about 30 seconds left to act, Ballas made the call.

Chouity showed his counterfeited {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}, Ballas took it down with his {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}.

Lewis Wins a Big One

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Toby Lewis opened for 32,000 from the cutoff, and his neighbor Alexander Lakhov three bet to 81,000 from the button. Both blinds quickly folded, Lewis made the call.

Lewis checked to Lakhov on {3-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}, and the Russian bet 85,000. Lewis check raised to 245,000, and Lakhov called rather quickly.

The {10-Hearts} fell on the turn, and Lewis shoved all in for exactly 480,000. Lakhov thought for some time, but folded eventually.

Dimitrios Ballas Doubles Through Nicolas Chouity

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Nicolas Chouity opened under the gun plus one to 33,000, and action folded to Dimitrios Ballas in the small blind. The man from Greece shoved all in for 146,000, and the big blind seemed interested. He eventually folded, and action was on Chouity. He looked up in the sky, counted a little, and made the call.

Nicolas Chouity: {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Dimitrios Ballas: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

The {5-Spades}{8-Spades}{J-Spades} on the flop was dangerous for Ballas, but the turn ({K-Hearts}) and river ({4-Diamonds}) blanked, and Chouity had to forfeit 142,000 in chips. He's still one of the chip leaders though, he could take the hit.

Chip Counts (full)

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Abbas Morady Eliminated in 15th Place ($18,400)

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Abbas Morady opened for 32,000 from the hijack, and Igor Devkin in the big blind made the call.

Everything so far was pretty normal, and when both players checked on the {4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{Q-Spades}-flop, we didn't see anything exciting coming.

Devkin checked again on the {4-Spades} turn, and all of the sudden it was Abbas Morady who shoved all in for about 220,000. "All in?" asked Devkin to double check, "Ok call"

Igor Devkin: {K-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Abbas Morady: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}

The {9-Diamonds} on the river was a blank and Abbas Morady made his exit in 15th place.

Andrejs Perederejevs Eliminated in 16th Place ($15,700)

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Andrejs Perederejevs and Dmitry Gromov got their chips to the middle on a flop of {9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}. It turned out to be a cooler situation, as Perederejevs had an over pair with pocket kings, but Gromov was the proud owner of two nines for top set.

Perederejevs needed a king to stay alive, but would end up short with the {Q-Clubs} on the turn and {2-Diamonds} on the river.
