More Early Eliminations

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Van der Jagt Busts Van der Burg

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

We just caught the action on the turn when the board read {7-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{A-Clubs} and both Bram van der Burg and Joep van den Bijgaart checked to Frank van der Jagt who was seated on the button.

Van der Jagt bet 7,500 and Van der Burg tanked for a bit before moving all in for 56,000 total. Van den Bijgaart tanked for a little while but eventually he let go and Van der Jagt made the call.

Van der Jagt: {A-Spades}{5-Spades}
Van der Burg: {6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

Van der Burg was ahead for a big double up, but the river brought the {9-Spades} to give his opponent a winning flush. Van der Jagt is now among the bigger stacks, as he's up to 240,000 chips.

Moolhuizen To The Rail

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Former Unibet Open Malta winner Mateusz Moolhuizen has just been knocked out in the early goings on Day 2. Moolhuizen moved all in from the cutoff with {A-}{7-} and he was called by Alexander Jager in the big blind.

The board brought no help for Moolhuizen who jumped straight into the €1,500 High Roller event.

The Hunt For the Final Table is On!

Marcel Lüske
Marcel Lüske

There are still 119 contending for a spot at the final table of the first ever World Poker Tour event in the Netherlands, but in the end there can be only nine. The names of the nine finalists are still well over 12 hours away from being known, but plenty of big ones are still in the mix.

Headliners today will be Dutch all-time money list leader Marcel Luske, former EPT Berlin finalist and recent WCOOP event winner Joep van den Bijgaart, Zeus Post, Alex Hendriks, Farid Chati, Giorgio La Iacona, Marcel Buissink, Stefan Swillers, Thomas Brader, Paul Berende, Oanh Bui and Mateusz Moolhuizen.

The payouts are yet to be announced, but the expectation is that 45 places will get paid out of the total 403 players that entered.

The average stack is 101,596 chips or 33 big blinds, which means that lots of players will be at risk during the first levels of play. The levels from today onwards will be 60 minutes. Play will resume at 3:50 p.m. local time in the 15th level of the structure, which will be 1,500/3,000 with a 500 ante.
