Hand for Hand

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

No big show downs, no double ups, so far it's mostly raise and take it. There's a couple of shorties, so we should be seeing some action soon. Bubble time continues.

Arberd Lalicic Eliminated in 29th Place

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Arberd Lalicic
Arberd Lalicic

Josef Klinger opened from middle position and action folded quickly to Arberd Lalicic in the big blind. Lalicic shoved all in for 120,000 exactly and the decision was back on Klinger.

Austria's all time money leader asked for a count, stared at his stack, cut out 120,000, and said "Ok" before shoving the 120,000 in after about half a minute of thinking.

Arberd Lalicic: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Josef Klinger: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}

Lalicic was in trouble and wouldn't catch up: {9-Spades}{4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.

Just like that, the tournament is down to 28 players and on the bubble. One more player will go empty handed, the other 28 take home a minimum of €5,480.

Bartalos Busto

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Fedor Holz opened with {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Josef Bartalos shoved his last 50,000 in before the flop with {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}. Holz made the call and put Bartalos' tournament life at risk.

The board ran out {J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{K-Spades}{7-Clubs} and with a rivered straight Holz sent Bartalos packing. 29 remain, two to the money.

Andrej Cintula Eliminated

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Thomas Bichon opened before the flop and Sotirios Koutoupas and one other player called. Andrej Cintula squeezed all in for his last 100,000 in chips and action folded to Koutoupas who was the only caller.

Koutoupas had {A-}{Q-} and was up against {9-}{9-}.

The {J-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop gave Koutoupas a gut shot, and the {A-Spades} on the turn paired him. The {8-Diamonds} on the river was a blank and Cintula made his exit.

Thirty players left, three to the money.

Full House Versus Full House

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Fedor Holz opened for 8,000 from middle position and Frederik Jensen in the big blind was the sole caller.

"Are you gonna check back the top pair again?" laughed Jensen. Hold smiled back and the dealer got underway dealing a flop: {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. Jensen checked, Holz checked behind.

The {9-Hearts} fell on the turn and Jensen bet out 12,500. Holz called rather quickly.

With the {3-Spades} completing the board, Jensen bet out 22,500. Holz thought for a bit before raising to, what we believe was, 65,000. Jensen called instantly.

Holz showed {K-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} while Jensen tabled {K-Hearts}{9-Spades}. "You got me with the small bet" laughed Holz, "How often do I have a three right?"

Stefanovic Doubles

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Ivan Stefanovic first lost a big pot to Dzmitry Urbanovich where he called a three bet out of position and check called a flop bet, but check folded to Urbanovich's all in on the turn.

Not much later he got it in before the flop for his remaining 47,500 in chips holding {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}. He was in bad shape against David Boyaciyan's {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} but came out ahead: {4-Hearts}{8-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{J-Clubs}.
