Markholt Loses a Small Pot; Lubenets Vanishes

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

Lee Markholt bet 1,200 on the three-way turn of {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs} and was called by David Augustine only, while the third player in the hand folded. On the {9-Diamonds} river it was Markholt that checked and called a bet of 3,000 to get shown the {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} for bottom set by Augustine, Markholt mucked and dropped a few chips off his above-average stack.

One table over, Valerii Lubenets' seat was open and Kenneth Adams confirmed he had been eliminated by Guy Hadas. On a three-card spade turn, Lubenets moved all in with kings including the {K-Spades}, and Hadas snap-called with aces and the {A-Spades}. Another spade came on the river and that was it for Lubenets.
