Big Stacks Clash

Randy Ohel: {6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}/{5-Hearts}{7-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Ernildo Santos: {q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{q-Hearts}/{8-Spades}{10-Spades}{a-Hearts}

On sixth street, Ernildo Santos had the lead with a pair of queens. He bet and was called by Randy Ohel who had four to a straight showing.

Santos bet seventh street also and was called again. Santos tabled three pairs, showing that his eights had been been rendered useless by the better two pair. Meanwhile, Ohel had the straight as he showed the {5-Hearts} amongst his hole cards and he gathered the pot from his fellow big stack.

Monnette Quickly Chips Up Through O'Hara

Level 7

John Monnette: {j-Spades}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{q-Clubs}/{a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}
Ian O'Hara: {3-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{10-Clubs}/{x-}{x-}{x-}

A large pot of approximately 40,000 chips was noticed by the PokerNews reporting team with completed boards in front of John Monnette and Ian O'Hara.

On seventh street, Monnette put out a bet and O'Hara needed to think.

After about a minute in the tank, O'Hara opted to call, with Monnette showing aces in the hole. O'Hara peeked at his cards again then pulled them together and tossed them into the muck, leaving him among the shorter stacks in the room, while Monnette has quickly chipped up to almost 100,000.
