Aldridge Gets Revenge on Vieira

Level 6
Ken Aldridge
Ken Aldridge

Ken Aldridge: {a-Diamonds}{x-}/{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}
Joao Vieira: {x-}{x-}/{q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} - folded sixth street

After losing an earlier pot to Joao Vieira, Ken Aldridge got his chips back and a few more in a recent hand.

Aldridge defended his bring-in to a Vieira completion, then called bets on fourth and fifth streets.

After Aldridge called on fifth, Vieira inquired, "what do you have?" To which Aldridge replied "you'll never guess what I have".

The duo then saw sixth street and Vieira slowed down and checked with Aldridge picking up an ace.

Aldridge then put out a bet and after a bit of deliberation, Vieira tossed his hand into the muck.

"Pick one", asked Aldridge, pushing his hole cards forward, then turning over the {a-Diamonds}.

"I had one of those too", said Vieira as the pot was pushed to Aldridge.

Ken Aldridge check-called on both sixth and seventh street as Joao Vieira turned over {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for two pair, which won the pot as Aldridge mucked his cards.

Kassela Dusts Deeb

Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

Earlier in the day as Shaun Deeb was getting short on chips, he was chatting with Frank Kassela about how he was the first player eliminated in last year's $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship.

Unfortunately for the five-time bracelet winner, it's an early exit again for him, this time at the hands of Kassela.

Deeb was stepping away from the table as the pot was pushed toward Kassela who had a pair of queens in front of him, while Deeb's ace-king high sent him off to the next tournament in his annual quest for WSOP Player of the Year.

Three players were on seventh street. Eric Kurtzman bet, Perry Friedman folded and Jeffrey Lisandro called.

Kurtzman tabled the small flush with two heart which depleted Lisandro's stack even further.
