Stamm bet again after being checked to and Valeo shrugged and shook his head before calling

On seventh street, Valeo checked and reluctantly called a bet from Stamm, who tabled Kx4xAx for a nine. Valeo mucked and Stamm collected the pot.

Both players had the same upcards on fourth street and the action checked through. Liu called a bet on fifth street before taking the betting lead on sixth street. Siegel raised and Liu called.

Seventh street checked through. Liu tabled 9-8-6-4-2 but Seigel had that beat with his 9-7-4-2-A.

Sternheimer bet on fourth street with Seiver and Liu being the only callers.

Fifth street then checked through to sixth street, where Seiver became the low. The 2024 WSOP Player of the Year bet and saw both opponents call.

"I guess I check," said Seiver before looking at his final down card. Liu bet, forcing out Sternheimer to put the action on Seiver. The latter contemplated before electing on a call.

Liu showed 8-7-6-5-3, with the 7x6x3x being his down cards. Seiver mucked and fell to a stack of 45,000.

Barthe bet on fourth, which got a call from Schertzer and Sternheimer and a fold from Liu.

Schertzer then led out for a bet on fifth after Barthe paired his ace and Barthe called.

Schertzer check-called bets from Barthe on sixth and seventh and Barthe tabled Qx4x3x for an eight. Schertzer mucked his hand upon seeing it and Barthe added to his short stack.

Epstein Makes Ma Day 1's Second Casualty

Matthew Valeo completed before Mark Epstein raised on his direct left. Two seats over was John Ma, who reraised and received calls from Valeo and Epstein.

Valeo remained as the low on fourth street and bet. Epstein called with Ma putting in his last chips to be at risk of elimination.

Fifth street checked through where Valeo called a bet. Seventh street then checked through to showdown.

Epstein showed his 8x6x6x down cards to have 9-8-7-6-4, which prompted Valeo to muck his board. Ma, who turned over 6x5x2x, paired up twice to leave him with J-6-5-3-2, which wasn't enough to save him from elimination.
