Top Hand for Topham

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

With the board showing 5410, Robert Topham went all in with 32,500 chips on the button and got called by Joshua Pedretti with less under the gun.

Joshua Pedretti: AKQ10All in
Robert Topham: AQ55

Pedretti's flush draw never made it on the turn-river of 84, which gave Topham a full house on the river.

Should Have Folded

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Alberto Fonseca bet 6,000 chips into a pot of 12,000 on a board reading 10K610Q. Clayton Bates raised to 16,000.

After much consideration, Fonseca reluctantly called, while saying he should fold. He was right about that.

Bates had KK98 for a full house. Fonseca showed a pair of pocket queens that gave him a smaller boat on the river.

Ryan Reiss

PokerNews caught up with 2013 main event champion Ryan Riess regarding his WSOP 2025 so far.

"How's your summer been so far?"

Reiss: "I've defiantly played a lot, I believe I'm about even for the summer so far with around $150,000 in buy ins and the same in cashes. Overall, it’s been a solid run, with some deep finishes including an 11th place in the $5K PLO. However, I don't do the accounting until after the summer".

Mystery Bounty?

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Allen Feldman was the first player to reach the maximum reentry, firing his third bullet one hour into the event.

"Maybe I'm the mystery bounty," he joked. "They should have that."

David Williams
David Williams

Bracelet winner David Williams has one word to describe his main event, which ended on Day 1.

"Uneventful."

Williams said he went out with pocket kings that was called by a guy with five-six, who hit trip sixes on the flop.

"That's poker,' Williams said. "There is always next year."

As for this year's series, in which he has entered a number of events but has yet to make a deep run?

"It's not over yet," Williams said.
