Jeremy Messas opened to 800 from the cutoff, and Nestor Martinez made the call on the button. Big blind Ovakim Kanondzhyan three-bet to 2,500, then called Messas' four-bet to 6,500 following a fold from Martinez.
The Q♥6♥9♥ flop was checked to Messas, who carried on with a bet of 2,500. Kanondzhyan called, before action checked through on the 4♦ river.
The 7♠ peeled off on the river, and Kanondzhyan checked for a third time, before snap-calling a bet of 6,500. Messas tabled K♠K♦ and Kanondzhyan mucked.
"You have a heart?" he then asked.
"I had jacks with a heart," he let his opponent know. Messas didn't respond.
