Chaffin Gets Stubborn
Level 3
: Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
This hand was picked up on the completed board of K♦10♥6♥2♥9♥ with over 15,000 already in the middle.
James Roane checked it from early position before Jeffrey Chaffin went all in for 28,200 on the button.
Roane went into the tank as he made a significant decision, but eventually made the call to put Chaffin at risk.
Chaffin showed A♥J♠ for a rivered ace high flush. A disappointed Roane revealed he had K♥Q♥ for a turned flush that was counterfeited on the river.
"I tried to push you out," said Roane.
"I got stubborn," said Chaffin as he took in the large pot.
