Bilzerian Wastes No Time
Dan Bilzerian has arrived on Day 1c, and he did not sit around and wait as he played the first three hands after he took his place in the main event.
He announced his presence with an open to 700 from the hijack. Donald Proctor called from the cutoff and Brunno Neves joined from the small blind.
It was checked to Bilzerian on the 5♣7♥9♠ flop before he continued for 1,200. Proctor called, but Neves folded.
The 4♣ turn did not slow Bilzerian down as he fired 3,000. Proctor obliged with a call.
Bilzerian emptied the clip on the 9♦ river to the tune of 7,500. Proctor made the call.
Bilzerian showed K♠6♥ for a wiffed straight draw. Proctor tabled Q♣Q♦ to claim the pot.
The second hand was a raised pot preflop that went three-handed to a flop of 5♦9♠10♠. Bilzerian fired 1,000 and was called by Neves on the button and Scott Reginatto in the big blind.
All three players knuckled the 9♥ turn to bring the 2♥ river. Reginatto checked it over to Bilzerian, who opted to bet 1,400 in response. Reginatto folded.
Bilzerian was at it again when he opened to 700 from early position and was called by Reginatto in the small blind and Fabrizio Rosa in the big blind.
It was checked to Bilzerian on the flop of A♣Q♣Q♥ before he wagered 1,300. Reginatto called, while Rosa folded.
The 9♠ turn saw no action as both players checked to bring the J♠ river. Reginatto flicked out a bet of 1,200. Bilzerian called and sent them to a showdown.
Reginatto showed K♠Q♦ for trip queens as Bilzerian mucked his hand.
