Top Pair Good for Chaplin in Three-Bet Pot

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Jeff Frerichs opened to 700 from under the gun, and Renan Meneguetti three-bet to 2,000 from the hijack. Joseph Chaplin cold-called from the big blind, and Frerichs also came along.

The flop fell A97, and when the action checked to Meneguetti, he fired a continuation-bet of 2,000. Both of his opponents called.

The K turn checked through, as did the 6 river. Chaplin tabled AQ for top pair, top kicker, which was enough to earn him the pot.
