Chalifour Wins Bidding War

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Tom Thomas opened from early position before Daniel Chalifour called from the cutoff. Simas Karaliunas made it 11,000 from the big blind, and Thomas came along with a call.

Chalifour wanted to play for more and put in a four-bet to 28,000. Both Thomas and Karaliunas folded as Chalifour took down the pot preflop.

Chalifour showed QQ to the table as he dragged in the chips.

Romero Picks Up Where He Left Off; Jacobson Gets Some Chips Back

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

James Miles raised his button to 1,200. James Romero then three-bet to 3,200 in the big blind, and Miles called. Romero continued for 2,000 on the Q25 flop and 5,200 on the 3 turn.

Miles called both times, and he called off about half his stack when Romero fired 8,000 on the 8 river. Miles tabled KQ for top pair, awarding him the pot.

Over at an adjacent table, Anthony Ostapenko limped in from the small blind. Martin Jacobson raised to 1,800 in the big blind, seeing his opponent call.

Ostapenko check-called when Jacobson bet 1,000 on the 322 flop, but quickly gave up on the pot with a check-fold when Jacobson bet 4,000 on the 6 river.
