Boeree Bounced by Askeland

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Liv Boeree
Liv Boeree

Ole Askeland opened to 3,000 from under the gun before Liv Boeree responded with a three-bet to 10,000. Askeland asked to see her stack before he went all in to put Boeree to a decision. Boeree gave it some thought before she put in the call to put herself at risk for 54,500.

Liv Boeree: JJAll in
Ole Askeland: KK

Boeree was in a terrible bind as her pocket jacks were dominated by the pocket kings of Askeland.

The 9Q6 flop did not offer too much for Boeree to work with.

Boeree's situation did not improve on the A turn, giving her one pull at two outs for her Main Event life.

There was no miracle on the 3 river as Boeree busted in Day 2abc.

Iver Leaves Christou With One Chip

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

David Ivers raised to 3,500 in middle position. Panagiotis Christou three-bet to 15,000 in the big blind, which Ivers called after some thought.

Ivers called Christou's bet of 18,000 on the 42Q flop. Christou sized down to 10,500 on the Q turn, again seeing his opponent call.

Christou then checked the 7 river over to Iver, who quickly put his opponent all in for 25,000. Christou saved his last green chip, giving up on the hand with a fold.

Kabrhel Has Met His Match in Richards

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Jessica Richards made a straight flush to bust Tao Wang on the previous hand, and she and Martin Kabrhel then went to a flop of 49K.

"I give you a discount. Usually I bet four," Kabrhel told her as he bet 3,500 from middle position. Richards called on the button.

The turn was the 8 and Kabrhel bet 8,000. Richards again called, and the Q fell on the river.

"Do you have a fold button?" Kabrhel said to her.

"I have a belly button," Richards replied.

"We won't talk about that. We just met. If you treated me like this at home, I would be very submissive," Kabrhel added.

"I'll treat you like a king," Richards said.

"Like the king in your hand?" Kabrhel said.

"Go fish," Richards replied.

Kabrhel eventually bet 9,000, and Richards quickly called. She turned over K9 for two pair. "I have king-queen, but it would be a suckout so I can't show," Kabrhel said as he mucked.

"You call with that preflop?" Kabrhel asked her.

"I was trying to make another straight flush," she replied.

"Jessica, if you do that one more time, then you probably win again," Kabrhel added.

Three Bets on the Flop

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Craig Craw opened to 3,000 in the hijack, which only Benjamin Chalot called in the big blind.

Action escalated quickly on the Q1010 flop. After Chalot checked, Craw fired 2,000, only for Chalot to check-raise to 10,000. Craw came back with a three-bet to 18,000, and Chalot called.

Chalot then led out with a bet of 25,000 on the 6 turn, which Craw called before both players checked the A river.

Chalot tabled 107 for flopped trips, which was good for the pot as Craw mucked his cards.
