Elul Wins at Multiple Tables

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Ori Elul
Ori Elul

Chuanshu Chen opened to 5,000 from middle position and Ori Elul called from the small blind. Bruno Borges raised to 22,500 from the big blind, and Chen mucked his hand.

Elul called, and the players saw the 573 flop. Elul check-raised to 30,000 after Chen bet 9,000, and Chen called, taking the players to the 8 turn.

Elul opted to bet 45,000, which sent Borges into the tank. Borges was staring Elul down, but Elul was locked into playing two online tables on his tablet as the same time. By the time Borges mucked, Elul had also picked up some chips in his online tournament, making it a good few minutes of play for Elul.

Heartbreak River for Vang as Affleck Doubles

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Matt Affleck
Matt Affleck

Matt Affleck got the action started with an open to 5,500 from early position. Kou Vang and Billy Tarango both made the call out of the small and big blinds, respectively.

Vang checked the 798 flop, which led to a bet of 5,000 from Tarango. Affleck put in the call, but Vang sprang into action with a check-raise to 17,000.

Tarango got out of the fray with a fold, but Affleck was still interested as he made the call.

The J turn resulted in a jam by Vang for 73,000 total. Affleck gave it some thought before he put in the call to put himself at risk for 67,500.

Matt Affleck: 88All in
Kou Vang: J10

Affleck was behind and needed to rally on the river in order to stay in the tournament as Vang flopped the straight.

The river was a cruel one for Vang as it came the 9 to pair the board and improve Affleck to a full house as Vang's stack came crumbling down to the studs.

Murata Sends Huang Home

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Short-stacked Chung-Lin Huang moved all in from middle position for 16,400. Masayuki Murata sat in the next seat, thought for a while, and made the call. Kimberly Manley sat in the hijack, then put in a three-bet to 62,500. Action came back around to Murata, who flat-called.

The action went check, check, on the 53K flop for the players to see the 6 peel off on the turn. Murata led out for 31,000, and Manley made the call.

On the Q river, Murata moved all in and had Manley covered, who quickly folded her hand, showing JJ, which was the correct fold as Murata tabled KK, and had both Manley and Huang with Ax10x crushed, sending Huang to the rail.

Bruno Lopes
Bruno Lopes

Bruno Lopes opened to 5,000 from middle position before Ha Diep defended his big blind with a call.

Diep check-called the AK8 flop before Lopes fired 5,000.

The action froze on the turn as both players checked the 10 turn to bring the 4 river.

Diep checked before Lopes fired a bet of 6,500. Diep made the call to go to a showdown.

Lopes showed AJ for a pair of aces, which was good as Diep mucked his hand in response.

Clock Called, But On Who?

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Jordan Schneider raised to 5,000 in middle position, and Justin Smith called on the button, tempting the big blind to join in as well.

When the action checked to Schneider on a 9QA flop, he bet 6,000. Smith called, but the big blind folded.

Then came the standoff. After several minutes passed with neither player showing any intention of acting, another player at the table called the clock.

Schneider was surprised to learn that it was called on him, as Smith hadn't acted yet.

"I'm on the button," Smith told Schneider.

With the button placed precariously between seats five and six, Schneider believed Smith was in the small blind. Once it was cleared up, Schneider bet 16,500, and Smith quickly folded.

Schneider apologized to the table as he pulled in the pot.

Neiman Claws from Cochran

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

After just doubling up, then losing it again in the next hand, David Neiman was playing his third consecutive hand and opened to 5,000 on the button. Shane Cochran called from the big blind and the players went heads-up to the 573 flop.

Both checked to see the Q turn, and Cochran check-called a 10,000 bet by Neiman.

A 6 river saw Cochran check, and Neiman bet out 27,000. Cochran took some time, but lifted his cards and threw them into the muck, allowing Neiman to rebuild some of his stack.
