Robert Renaud Bags a Massive Stack on Day 1b of the Monster Stack

Day 1b of Event #18: $1,500 Monster Stack saw another 1,903 players flock to the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. After completing 10 levels, only 761 players had chips requiring bagging and tagging.

According to the WSOP LIVE app, Canada's Robert Renaud (880,000) topped the chip counts at the close of play. Renaud has been in good form this summer, cashing in three events already.

Michele Migliore (665,000) and Lin Zhou (548,000) rounded off the top three places.

Plenty of established grinders chose Day 1b to start their quest for Monster Stack glory, and many of them managed to make it through to the close of play.

Jonas Lauck (516,000) and Liran Betito (467,500) progressed with top 10 stacks, while three-time bracelet winner Jason Daly (370,000) finished in the top 25.

Elsewhere, you have the likes of David Jackson (341,500), Alessio Isaia (286,000), and British poker power couple Sinead Davenport (285,500) and husband Matthew Davenport (90,500).

Malcolm Trayner (230,000), Yucel Eminoglu (224,500), Nick Pupillo (224,500), Sean Jazayeri (198,000), Will Givens (169,000), Barry Shulman (154,000), Rania Nasreddine (145,000), Toby Lewis (111,500), and Brandon Sheils (91,000) also reached Day 2b.

Speaking of which, Day 2b sees the 761 surviving players return to their seats from 11:00 a.m. local time on June 5. They will be joined by a flurry of late registrants, with late registration open until the end of Level 11, at around 12:15 p.m. local time.
