Clock Called, Neugebauer Gets It Wrong

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Max Neugebauer
Max Neugebauer

Max Neugebauer opened to 12,000 from the cutoff, which Ivan Ruban called on the button, prompting the big blind to come along as well.

The action checked to Ruban on a 654 flop, who bet 14,000. The big blind called, but Neugebauer pounced with a check-raise to 52,000. Ruban called, but this time the big blind folded.

Both players then checked the 3 turn, and Neugebauer checked again on the 10 river.

Ruban put out a bet of 90,000, which sent Neugebauer deep into the tank. After several minutes had passed, another player called the clock. As the clock ticked to zero, Neugebauer flicked a chip into the middle to call.

It was bad news as Ruban tabled his flopped set with 44, and Neugebauer mucked his hand face down.
