After action passed to him, Joseph Spanne in middle position bet 20,000 into a pot of 28,000 and a 8♠9♥4♥ flop. Wanting to see another card, Samuel Ju, in the big blind, called.
The 10♥ turn fell and Ju check-called Spanne's 32,000 bet. After another check from Ju on the river A♥, Spanne put maximum pressure with a 215,000 all-in shove.
Ju went into the tank, frequently looking at his hand. So near the money, Ju seemed uncertain but jammed his chips in the middle, putting his tournament life on the line.
Spanne showed K♠Q♥ for a queen-high flush. Looking frustrated, Ju stood up and turned over J♥10♠ for a lower flush.
Clemen Deng raised from the cutoff to 12,000, and Chenxiang Miao defended from the big blind. The flop was K♦9♠Q♠, and the fireworks broke out.
Miao checked, and Deng bet out 10,000. Miao threw in a check-raise for 35,000, and it did not take long for Deng to move all of his chips in for 173,000. Miao quickly called.
Clemen Deng: J♥10♥
Miao Chenxiang: K♠2♠
The turn 5♥ and the river 4♦ did not improve Chenxiang, and Deng doubled up with his straight.
Josh Reichard began the action with a raise to 12,000 from under the gun. David "ODB" Baker made the call from early position.
Kevin Eyster responded with a re-raise to 60,000 from the big blind. Reichard folded in response.
Baker put together some green chips and put out a four-bet to 200,000. Eyster gave it some thought before he shipped it for 499,000 total.
This put Baker into the tank. Baker mulled over the decision before he pushed his cards into the muck to award the pot to Eyster.
Tristan Wade opened to 14,000 from the hijack and called a three-bet to 40,000 from Ryan Riess on the button.
The dealer spread a 8♥2♣3♥ flop, and Wade checked in flow. Riess continued for 40,000, which was enough to see Wade return his cards to the dealer.
Max Neugebauer raised to 12,000 from the cutoff with Ivan Ruban calling on the button and Micah Raskin coming along from the big blind.
After two checks on the 4♥K♠3♣ flop, Ruban bet 12,000, which only Neugebauer called.
A 5♣ turn checked through and the A♠ arrived on the river. Neugebauer bet 20,000 and immediately folded after Ruban put in a raise.
Ren Lin in the big blind and Michael Vanier on the button had grown the pot to 137,000 when the dealer fanned out 3♦J♦4♦.
Lin fired 30,000 and Vanier calmly called. The turn dropped 7♠ and Lin took his time considering his options, visibly wondering what his next move would be. He finally threw in 75,000 which Vanier instantly called.
Looking perplexed with the call, Lin went into the tank when the river 2♠ was turned over. Counting then shuffling his stack, Lin finally announced "All-in" for 640,000 prompting Vanier to sigh and lean back as he looked at the clock.
With 280,000 behind and only 3 players left to the money, Vanier decided to let go of his hand and concede the massive pot to Lin.
Shawn Daniels limped from the small blind, and David "ODB" Baker checked from the big blind. The flop arrived with J♥3♠10♦, and Daniels checked to Baker, who bet out 15,000.
The turn K♦ saw Daniels check again, and Baker continued with 25,000. Daniels called.
On the river 9♠, Daniels checked, and Baker bet out 90,000. Daniels quickly called and found out the bad news as Baker flipped over A♥Q♥ for the higher straight as Daniels held Q♦J♦.
Martin Kabrhel opened to 12,000 from middle position, which only Anthony Zinno called in the hijack.
The 9♠8♠7♣ flop saw Kabrhel continue for 16,000 before calling a raise to 36,000 from Zinno.
Both players checked on the 4♣ turn, and again on the 4♦ river.
Kabrhel tabled 10♠3♦, which was no good versus Zinno's Q♣9♣.
