Richard Fang open-jammed from under the gun for 215,000, Sacha Cohen called in middle position, and Mehrdad Vahabi reraised all in from the cutoff to put Cohen at risk, who had about 450,000 behind. Cohen made the call.
Richard Fang: A♥A♣
Sacha Cohen: A♦K♦
Mehrdad Vahabi: Q♠Q♣
The board ran out 4♣6♠7♦2♥8♣, giving Fang the triple up. Cohen was sent to the rail and Vahabi earned the side pot.
Heads up to the 9♦8♠J♥ flop with 150,000 in the pot, Stephen Ma jammed all in from early position for around 300,000. Action was on Xiupu Li in late position, who went into the tank briefly before he made the call to put Ma at risk.
Stephen Ma : J♣3♣
Xiupu Li: 10♥10♠
Ma was looking good for a double-up but had outs to dodge. The 3♦ turn changed nothing, but when the Q♥ peeled off on the river and made Li his straight, Ma was sent to the rail with Li climbing closer to the two million chip mark.
Xiupu Li opened the action with a raise in the hijack, and Raymond Spiess three-bet-shoved for just under 300,000 in the big blind. Li snap-called.
Raymond Spiess: A♥2♦
Xiupu Li: K♠K♥
There were no aces to be found on the 8♦Q♥Q♠8♠7♣ runout, and Spiess was sent to the payout desk.
Action folded to Gary Bauer, who open-jammed from the small blind for 295,000. Luis Chiok in the big blind squeezed his cards and called.
Gary Bauer: A♠6♥
Luis Chiok: A♣5♣
Lots of chop possibilities, but the Q♦10♠2♦K♥3♠ runout meant that Bauer's kicker played, and he got the double-up.
Maryanne Madruga raised to 60,000 in middle position and Todd Saffron three-bet jammed in the cutoff for 180,000 to put himself at risk. Madruga made the call.
Todd Saffron: A♠K♣
Maryanne Madruga: Q♣J♠
The flop came 6♠2♥3♥ with Saffron's big slick still in the lead. He paired his ace on the A♥ turn, and the meaningless 9♦ rolled off on the river.

Right on his heels is Cristian Gutierrez (1,950,000), who captured a piece of WSOP gold last year in the $600 Pot-Limit Omaha Deepstack, and rounding out the podium is Mehrdad Vahabi with 1,755,000.
