Bob Shao opened to 12,000 from middle position and John Ypma three-bet to 25,000 from middle position. Action folded back around to Shao who four-bet jammed for his last 115,000 and Ypma snap called.

Shao needed to hit to stay alive but there was no luck on the 4♣J♥9♣ flop. He didn't get much of a sweat on the 6♣ turn either and he stood from the table as the dealer placed the Q♥ river.

Ypma, who was one of the top ten stacks returning to the day asked the table "Any of you fold a stick hand?". Toby Joyce who is also at the table responded "I had king-ten, there was a jack, nine, queen on the board right?", implying the runout could have gone a different way.
