Montoya Exits With a Smile

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Tyler Montoya
Tyler Montoya

Tyler Montoya, whose joyous pronouncement after pulling a $1 million mystery bounty at the WSOP a year ago will be long remembered, figured it was just a matter of time.

As it was his time, he seemed to enjoy his exit.

The action folded around to Ruslan Zakharchuk who just called on the button. Montoya in the small blind, laughed at the limp.

"You did that just because you want to bust me?" he asked.

Montoya then just completed himself with 10,000, holding back his last 5,000 chip to more laughter.

Yuanzhi Cao checked from the big blind.

The flop came 63K. Montoya plopped his final chip into the pot. Cao and Zakharchuk called.

When the 5 hit on the turn, Cao checked, Zakharchuk bet 25, and Cao folded.

Ruslan Zakharchuk: K6

Zakharchuk had flopped two pair. Montoya had a pair of sixes and some outs, but the 10 hit the board to end his tournament.
