Johnson Puts Kim to the Test

Level 30 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Pyeongkang Kim raised to 300,000 in the hijack and was called by Marco Johnson in the small blind and Kenzo Ishida in the big blind.

The 10108 flop checked through to the 5 turn, where Johnson led out for 350,000. Ishida folded and Kim raised to 1,000,000. Johnson then reraised to 1,800,000 and Kim called bringing the 4 river, which completed both straight and flush draws.

Johnson thought for a moment before moving all in to put Kim at risk, who had 2,325,000 behind. Kim counted out his chips and tossed his card into the muck. Johnson showed 99 as he dragged in the pot.

"Might have been the best hand," said Chino Rheem, before Kim indicated that he had ace-eight.
