Ishida Slows Down Johnson

Level 32 : Blinds 120,000/240,000, 240,000 ante

Kenzo Ishida opened the action with an under-the-gun raise and Marco Johnson defended in the big blind. The flop of 847 checked through to the 3 turn, where Johnson led out for 520,000. Ishida called and the 9 fell on the river.

Johnson bet 880,000 and Ishida bumped it up to 3,100,000, prompting Johnson to go into the tank. Johnson eventually flicked in the call, only to see the bad news when Ishida tabled KJ for the flush.

The next hand, Johnson raised to 960,000 in the small blind and Ishida called in the big blind. The flop came QQQ, Johnson bet 480,000 and Ishida called, bringing the A turn. Johnson bet 840,000 and Ishida called again. Johnson slowed down with a check on the 8 river and Ishida elected to check back.

"King high," said Johnson as he tabled K2. Ishida turned over 33 to take down the second pot in a row.
