Lonis Eliminates Two in Monster Pot

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Jesse Lonis
Jesse Lonis

Jesse Lonis kicked off the action with a raise to 85,000 under the gun. Jesse Stanlet flat-called in the hijack before Ari Engel squeezed in a three-bet to 375,000 on the button.

Lonis tossed in calling chips before Stanley moved in his stack of 580,000. Engel and Lonis both called, creating a huge pot as the 69J flop emerged from the deck.

Lonis then quickly moved all in, putting Engel at risk for 900,000. Engel spent a few minutes in the tank, eventually calling when the clock had been called on him.

Jesse Stanley: KKJ9 All in
Ari Engel: AAA10 All in
Jesse Lonis: QQ64

Stanley had flopped two pair to take the lead, while Engel's aces were ahead for the significant side pot. The Q turn changed everything, however, as Lonis spiked a set of queens.

The 5 river remained safe for him, and he knocked out both Stanley and Engel while securing a massive chip lead over the rest of the field.
