Deeb Dusts Zanot With Gutshot; Williams Waves Off Two in Razz

Level 22
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

Pot-Limit Omaha

In a pot of around 300,000, Thomas Zanot pushed in his last 86,000 on the 10AJ flop from the big blind.

"Come on, Shaun, let's gamble," Zanot said to his opponent, Shaun Deeb. Deeb spent some more time thinking in the hijack before ultimately calling off.

Thomas Zanot: AA106 All in
Shaun Deeb: KK92

The 8 turn remained safe for Zanot, but Deeb hit a straight on the Q river to send Zanot out.

"Let's just pretend that I went all in preflop like I originally wanted to," Deeb said as he raked in the chips.

Razz

Meanwhile, at an adjacent table, David Williams had both Barbara Schindler and Yosif Nawabi at risk in a hand of razz. Williams ended with Qx10x7x6x5x3x2x for a seven-low, besting the 10x8x7x6x6x4xAx of Schindler.

Nawabi also had a worse hand, and he quickly tossed his cards into the muck to confirm the double knockout.

Sometime earlier, Jeffery Taylor had exited the tournament as well.

Gorodinsky's Ascent Continues

Level 22

Omaha Hi-Lo

David Williams raised first to act and was called by Mike Gorodinsky in the cutoff, Oscar Johansson on the button, and Jeff Madsen in the small blind for a four-way pot.

Action checked to Johansson, who bet on the K56 flop. Everyone called.

Madsen and Williams checked to Gorodinsky on the 2 turn and he led out for a bet. Johansson called, and both Madsen and Williams folded.

The 5 completed the board and Gorodinsky bet a final time. Johansson laid his hand down and Gorodinsky dragged the nice pot without a showdown.

Mike Leah: 22/10KJ4/6 All in
Noah Bronstein: XxXx/5 - folded on third street
Eli Elezra: 85/8 - folded on third street
Ray Fishman: XxXx/J - folded on third street
William Kerkaert: 106/K546/7

Noah Bronstein brought in, and Eli Elezra completed.

"Wait, wait, don't kill his hand!" Ray Fishman yelled as he was pondering his decision, but it was too late, and Elezra's cards were already added to the muck by the dealer.

A frustrated Elezra angrily turned over all six cards in the muck to find his hand. The floor was then called over, Elezra's hand was declared dead, and he had to pay the bring-in of 7,000, getting the rest of his money back.

The table collectively studied the exposed cards, after which the action folded to William Kerkaert.

Kerkaert completed, and Leah raised. Bronstein got out of the way before Kerkaert called. Leah fired a bet on fourth street, and, once called, moved all in on fifth street for his last 10,000. Kerkaert reluctantly called.

Leah just showed a pair of deuces, and he did not improve during the rest of the hand. Kerkaert ended up with a pair of sixes, enough to knock Leah out of the tournament.

Eric Baldwin

2-7 Triple Draw

Eric Baldwin had already gone all in before the first draw in the hijack, while Thomas Taylor in middle position and hijack Joey Couden had built a side pot.

Taylor then checked to Couden, who fired a bet. Taylor called and drew one card, Baldwin took one as well, but Couden stood pat.

Taylor check-called another bet by Couden before the same drawing sequence occurred on the final draw. Taylor checked a final time, but he quickly folded when Couden threw in more chips.

Couden revealed 7x5x4x3x2x for the nuts, and Baldwin's 8x7x4x3x2x was unveiled as he exited the tournament area.

Eli Elezra

2-7 Triple Draw

Eli Elezra raised from the hijack and was called by Ray Fishman on the button and Mike Leah in the big blind.

Leah and Fishdrew drew two on the first draw while Elezra drew one. Leah then checked to Elezra, who bet. Fishman raised, Leah called cold and Elezra called as well.

On the second draw, Leah drew one and both Elezra and Fishman stood pat. Action checked through.

Leah drew one, Elezra broke and drew one as well, and Fishman remained pat on the final draw. Leah then checked to Elezra, who bet. Fishman quickly called and Leah laid his hand down.

"Eight-six," Elezra announced as he fanned out 8x6x5x4x3x. Fishman showed he held 8x7x5x3x2x and mucked — conceding the pot to Elezra.

Fishman inquired what Elezra broke and Elezra claimed a nine as he collected the pot.
