In the first hand of heads-up play, Eelis Parssinen raised to 600,000 and Juha Helppi put in the call. He then checked over the 6♣2♠9♦ flop, at which point Parssinen bet out for 520,000. Helppi quickly check-raised to 1,500,000, and Parssinen called.

Helppi slowed down on the 7♥ turn with a check, and Parssinen slid a stack of 1,700,000 into the middle. Helppi called, and action checked through on the 6♠ river. Helppi's J♣8♣ was no good against Parssinen's top pair with 10♥9♥.
