Roland the Newest Supporter of WSOP Structures

Level 17 : Limits 15,000/30,000, 0 ante
Mark Roland
Mark Roland

When the most recent level began, Mark Roland was perplexed by the fact that the small blind was 10,000 with a big blind of 15,000, even though the yellow T-1,000 chips were still in play. He thought that the small blind should be 8,000, but the floor staff had no good answer for him.

It folded to Andrew Kelsall in the small blind who limped, and Roland checked his option in the big blind.

Kelsall humorously drew four and Roland three

"If it was eight-fifteen blinds I would have folded, but at ten-fifteen I have to call," Kelsall explained.

"That's why I lamented it earlier," Roland joked, "I knew it would cost me a big pot."

Kelsall check-called a bet from Roland. On the second draw, Kelsall took two and Roland one, and Kelsall check-called another bet.

On the final round, Kelsall elected to pat and Roland still needed one. Kelsall check-called a final bet from Roland, who rolled over 7x6x5x3x2x for number three.

The oversized small blind benefited Roland on this occasion as he celebrated, "They did it perfectly, no complaints!"
