Negreanu Scores Huge Double Against Winter

Level 16 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

On the final hand before the short break, Daniel Negreanu opened to 210,000 from the button. Sean Winter and Yosuke Miki called from the blinds.

Winter led out for 235,000 on the K53 flop, and only Negreanu called.

Winter checked the Q turn, and Negreanu fired out 750,000. Winter potted it to 3,150,000 and snap-called when Negreanu jammed for 3,905,000.

"You don't have kings do you?" Negreanu asked Winter. Negreanu breathed a small sigh of relief after Winter tabled his hand.

Daniel Negreanu: AK55All in
Sean Winter: AA102

Negreanu was ahead with a set of fives, but any ace, four, jack or heart would give Winter the winner.

The final card was red, but luckily for Negreanu, it was the 3 and he filled up to become one of the chip leaders.
