Sternheimer Surpasses Martirosian
Yosuke Miki limped the small blind and Daniel Negreanu checked to the 9♠6♠6♦ flop, on which Miki's bet of 150,000 was called. They checked the 2♠ turn and Miki bet the 7♠ river for 300,000. Negreanu called and was shown the K♥6♣4♦3♣, which he chopped with as he held the K♦Q♠10♣6♥.
Negreanu then limped into the big blind of Philip Sternheimer, who checked to the 9♠6♠3♦ flop. Negreanu's min-bet was called and he then bet the Q♥ turn for another 450,000, which Sternheimer called. The 4♣ river was checked and Negreanu's K♠Q♠J♠8♥ were "too many spades" as Sternheimer had kings.
Artur Martirosian then raised the full pot to 550,000 and Sternheimer called from the big blind. On a flop of J♣9♣5♦ flop, Sternheimer checked after using a time bank and Martirosian checked back to the 2♠ turn. Sternheimer now bet 525,000 and Martirosian folded.
