Miki Gets Short; Wins Back Some Chips
Daniel Negreanu limped in from under the gun and Chris Frank did so from the button, as did Artur Martirosian in the small blind. Yosuke Miki then potted to 1,200,000 in the big blind and was called by Negreanu as well as Frank, while Martirosian folded.
"Good luck guys," Philip Sternheimer said.
The flop came K♦9♦7♣ and Miki used one time bank before he checked. Negreanu bet 1,800,000 for Frank to fold while Miki used another time bank to call with a shorter stack behind.
Miki then checked the 5♥ turn and folded to a shove.
The rail applauded for Negreanu and Sternheimer boldly joked "oh fuck you guys, let's go Japan".
One hand later, Miki potted to 720,000 in the small blind and was called by Negreanu. The 7♠4♦3♦ flop was checked by Miki, Negreanu bet 450,000 and received a call. Both checked the K♦ on the turn and Miki used a time bank before he bet almost all of his chips on the 2♥ river to force a snap-fold.
