Hunkins Falls Early

Level 26

442AK
J851010

Daniel Walmsley bet 200,000 in early position, and Paul Fehlig called on the button. Brian Hunkins moved all in for 525,000 from first position to see Walmsley pot it and Fehlig fold.

Daniel Walmsley: KJJ6

The set of jacks held up for Walmsley against Hunkins' set of eights on the bottom board, while a pair of kings gave Walmsley the other, and Hunkins was eliminated on the first hand of the day.

From a starting field of 1,673, which generated a total purse of $2,220,907, just 19 players return for Day 3 of Event #83: $1,500 Double Board Bomb Pot Pot-Limit Omaha at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. Each one of them has $13,414 locked up, but all eyes are fixed on the $322,564 and the WSOP bracelet yet to be awarded to the winner.

Leading the way is two-time WSOP Circuit ring winner Paul Fehlig (5,885,000). Fehlig began yesterday as the dominant chip leader as well, and once more he holds a near 4:3 lead over his nearest opponent. Fehlig has two WSOP bracelet event final tables, with a career high score of $134,888 coming from his fourth place finish in the $888 Crazy Eights tournament in 2021. He now sits poised to make another final table in the hopes of claiming his first WSOP bracelet.

Julio Trimmer (4,500,000) and Daniel Walmsley (3,455,000) round out the podium, each of them looking for their first bracelet as well. High roller superstar and two-time WSOP bracelet winner Jesse Lonis (3,145,000) sits in fourth place on the counts, looking to add a third WSOP bracelet to his resume and a significant chunk of change to his 2026 haul. Among others that bagged are 2018 WSOP Main Event ninth-place finisher Antoine Labat (3,075,000) and Justin Fawcett (2,965,000).
