Morris Making Moves

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Not long after hitting a one-outer to save his tournament life, Arthur Morris found himself in another big pot that could put him among the chip leaders.

Jiyang Gan started the hand with a raise under the gun. Brian Kirschner from the cutoff, Leon Bennett on the button, and Morris, who was the big blind, all called.

When the flop came 477, the action checked around to Bennett, who bet 400,000 chips. Morris was the lone caller.

The turn brought the 9 and an all-in shove from Bennett for his last 560,000 or so chips. Morris quickly made the call.

Leon Bennett: AJ76All in
Arthur Morris: QJ87

As one would imagine, each had a seven for trips, but neither had a full house through the turn. A blank would give Bennet a big-time double-up thanks to his ace.

When the Q landed on the river, Morris had the knockout and another massive addition to his stack.

Ying Li
Ying Li

Action was picked up on the flop of QK7, Ying Li bet 100,000 from the small blind, and George Grabe was debating the decision from the cutoff position with only 100,000 behind. The pot was about 200,000.

Grabe announced, "Well, that sucked," but called.

George Grabe: AQ108 All in
Ying Li: AQQ3

Li was sitting with a set of queens, and that held with a turn and river of 5A.

Koliakoudakis Adds to his Bounty Pool

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Roussos Koliakoudakis
Roussos Koliakoudakis

Johan Schultzpedersen limped from under the gun and action came to Roussos Koliakoudakis who raised to 70,000 from middle position. Michael Domin sat in the next seat then three-bet all in to 140,000. Schultzpedersen got out of the way and Koliakoudakis made the call to put Domin at risk.

Michael Domin: KKQ8 All in
Roussos Koliakoudakis: AQ96

Domin was ahead with his kings and nothing changed on the 483 flop but when the Q peeled off on the turn, Koliakoudakis picked up extra outs. The dealer flipped over the A as the river which gave Koliakoudakis two pair to claim another bounty to go along with the $100,000 bounty he collected earlier.

Boyaciyan and Dooley Chop One

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Action was picked up on a flop of 9K4 with small blind Thomas Dooley, under the gun player Christopher Hannel and hijack David Boyaciyan all willing to wager their entire stacks.

Thomas Dooley: KKQ10 All in
David Boyaciyan: AQJ10 All in
Christopher Hannel: A964

Dooley had flopped top set, but didn't even end up using a king, as the 3J runout gave both him and Boyaciyan the nut straight. They chopped the pot, with Hannel sending out his chips.

Gutierrez Takes Yanovski's Bounty

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Action folded to Eric Garma in the cutoff who raised the pot to 70,000 and was looked up by Jose Paz Gutierrez on the button.

Leonid Yanovski sat in the small blind then three-bet to 175,000 and it came back to Garma who folded quickly. Gutierrez then re-potted which was enough to put Yanovski all in who snap-called.

Leonid Yanovski: AA72 All in
Jose Paz Gutierrez: A1043

The board ran out 6QK103 and Gutierrez hit two pair to crack Yanovski's bullets and send him to the cage.

"1000% You Have Queens"

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Action was picked up on the river with a board of 3Q3K9 with a pot of about 480,000. Jerry Robinson bet 280,000, leaving 100,000 behind, and Jarred Solomon raised enough to put Robinson all in.

Robinson agonized over the decision, stating, "1000%, you have queens," and "This is why I didn't put it all in, and now I don't have the discipline to fold."

In the end, Robinson called, and a humble Solomon showed him what he already knew.

Jerry Robinson: AK32 All in
Jarred Solomon: QQ97

Robinson had the lower full house, and Solomon held queens over threes for the win.

Daly's Rampage Continues

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Action was joined in a heads-up pot contested between Jason Daly and Patrick Mahoney.

The two had arrived to a river, with the board reading 96985 and 510,000 in the middle. Daly, who was already chip-leading the tournament, was vying for more, as he announced, "pot," to send Mahoney into the tank.

After some time, Mahoney called to see the bad news, as his opponent tabled Q987 for the stone cold nuts.

Siboni Bluffs Way to Pot

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

With a sizable pot already in the middle of the table, Eli Siboni and Maciej Komorowski checked a flop of JQJ.

After Siboni checked again on the relative blank of a turn in the 6, Komorowski bet 125,000.

Siboni pushed forward a raise to 975,000.

Komorowski, the preflop aggressor, went into a deep tank trying to determine what his opponent might have, and whether he should put his entire stack at risk to find out.

After some time, he elected to let the hand go.

As soon as he did that, Siboni slammed his hand down, showing AK108. He had a king-high flush draw and a straight draw.
