Kozieja Doubles Through Raber

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Grzegorz Kozieja wasted little time putting his chips to work after the dinner break. Jason Raber opened from early position before Grzegorz Kozieja put in his final 685,000 on the button. Raber called to put Kozieja at risk.

Jason Raber: QJ

Kozieja got his chips in good, but the flop gave both players a piece to work with when it came 9K5 to give Kozieja a pair of kings and Raber four outs to a straight.

The 8 turn benefited Kozieja as he held the only club, and the 5 river shut down any hopes of Raber playing spoiler as Kozieja doubled up.

Krashennikova Comes Crashing Down Against Tsai

Level 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Eric Tsai
Eric Tsai

Daria Krashennikova ran into a rut in back-to-back hands that saw her sent out from contention.

The first hand occurred when Krashennikova was on the button and clashed with Eric Tsai preflop. The chips got in the middle with Tsai at risk for 2,630,000.

Daria Krashennikova: AA

Tsai was in deep trouble, but the flop changed his fortune in a hurry when it fanned out K53 to give him a set of kings and put Krashennikova's aces in a horrible spot with two cards to go.

Krashennikova was unable to find her ace on the 7 turn or the 3 river as Tsai upgraded to a full house to leave Krashennikova on fumes.

The very next hand, Punnat Punsri opened to 160,000 from middle position. Krashennikova went all in for her final 215,000 from the cutoff before Tsai entered the pot with a three-bet to 700,000. Punsri folded as Krashennikova and Tsai were at it again, but this time it was Krashennikova at risk.

Daria Krashennikova: K10All in
Eric Tsai: 88

Krashennikova had a fighting chance with her overcards, but they never appeared on the 37957 runout to eliminate Krashennikova from the tournament.

The board read 10JK9 with approximately 500,000 in the pot when this hand was picked up.

The Q river peeled before Hawkins put out a smaller bet of 300,000 on the river. Newhouse gave it some thought before he put in the call.

Hawkins showed 1010 for a set of tens and it was good as Newhouse mucked his hand to award the pot to Hawkins.

Rocco Pounds Pot Against Aguilera

Level 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Michael Rocco
Michael Rocco

Michael Rocco got the action started with an open to 160,000 from early position, which led to a call from Jose Aguilera from the next seat over. Rogen Chhabra joined the party with a call from the small blind to create a three-handed pot.

The flop came JA3 before Chhabra checked his option. Rocco continued for 320,000 and was only called by Aguilera as Chhabra bowed out with a fold.

Rocco was not messing around and chose to jam on the 2 turn to put Aguilera into the blender. Aguilera had 2,460,000 behind as he labored over his decision.

Aguilera opted to relase his hand as Rocco's strong Day 3 continued.
