Ragozzini Eliminated by Teska

Level 7 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Sean Ragozzini
Sean Ragozzini

The tournament floor just informed us of Sean Ragozzini's recent elimination from the tournament.

Ragozzini had moved all in preflop holding {a-}{k-} and was in great shape against Roger Teska who had called with {a-Hearts}{10-}.

That is until the board ran out with four hearts giving Teska the winning hand with a flush.

Stang Rails Lynskey

Level 7 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Bernie Stang
Bernie Stang

With ~30,000 in the pot and the community cards spread {q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{7-Clubs} Bernie Stang was all-in from the big blind and Alex Lynskey was in the tank.

Eventually, Lynskey made a decision and called for his tournament life, but could only sigh, muck and hit the rail for the second time today when Stang rolled over {q-Spades}{10-Spades} for top pair.

"Guess he was a non-believer," said Stang as he stacked up his newly won chips to climb over 100,000.

Sosia Jiang departed shortly afterwards to bring the field down to 27.

Pritchard Bests Jiang

Level 7 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Jason Pritchard
Jason Pritchard

Sosia Jiang raised to 2,500 from under the gun and was called by Jason Pritchard on the button.

Both players checked the {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{6-Clubs} before the {4-Hearts} dropped on the turn.

Jiang checked. Pritchard bet 2,500. Jiang called.

The {j-Hearts} completed the board and Jiang checked. Pritchard tossed out 5,500. Jiang raised to 14,000. Pritchard called.

Jiang tabled {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} for a pair of queens. Pritchard then showed {k-Spades}{j-Spades} for two pair and the winning hand.

Otto Rails Maroulis

Level 7 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Spiros Maroulis is out for the second time after clashing in a hand against Ryan Otto in a blind on blind battle. The duo got all the chips in pre-flop, Maroulis' {q-}{10-} trailing to Otto's {a-}{a-} to thin the field by one. Otto stacked up to ~120,000 after the hand.

Suchanek Busts Kashyap, Kempson Back In

Level 7 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Nauvneel Kashyap
Nauvneel Kashyap

Nauv Kashyap's first bullet went up in smoke in less than a level and he busted at the hands of Jan Suchanek, with all the chips going in pre-flop in a battle of the blinds. Kashyap had {a-}{k-} and was racing against Suchanek's {7-}{7-}.

Despite pairing his king on the flop, Kashyap hit the rail when Suchanek spiked a seven on the river to climb to 108,000.

Despite Kashyap's exit, the field has climbed to 45 entrants with the re-entry of Corey Kempson.

Otto on the Rise, Suchanek Folds Out Kashyap

Level 7 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Ryan Otto

Over on table 22, Geoff Mooney opened the action with an early position raise to 3,000 with Jan Suchanek calling from the button and Ryan Otto calling from the big blind to take the action three-way to a flop of {3-Hearts}{5-Spades}{q-Spades} with the action checked around.

The {7-Diamonds} turn saw Otto take a stab for 5,200 and that was enough to take the pot.

There was three hands of raise folding that followed before David Hanlon made it 2,400 to go from the cutoff, picking up callers in the form of small blind Raman Shaqiri and big blind Michael Hahn to take play three-way to a flop of {4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{8-Clubs} with the action going all check. The {2-Diamonds} turn was where the hand ended, with Hahn taking it down with a bet of 5,600.

The following hand, Jan Suchanek made it 3,000 to go from under-the-gun, with Mooney calling from the cutoff and Nauv Kashyap calling from the big blind.

The {9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop saw no betting, with Suchanek making a delayed continuation bet on the {4-Hearts} turn, with Kashyap check calling.

The {q-Hearts} river saw Kashyap check again, calling Suchanek's 15,000 river bet and mucking when the latter turned over {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}.

Kempson Busts to Stang

Level 7 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A short-stacked Corey Kempson got his last 12,000 in pre-flop with {a-}{j-} only to run into the {a-}{a-} of Bernie Stang to hit the rail, while Stang stacked up to 48,000.

Stang Back Near Starting Stack

Level 7 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Mladen Vukovic raised to 2,500 from the cutoff and was called by Bernie Stang in the small blind.

The flop came {8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Stang led out for 3,600. Vukovic called.

The turn brought the {3-Spades} and Stang fired out another 7,200. Vukovic called.

Stang checked after the {8-Clubs} completed the board. Vukovic looked puzzled and opted to check behind.

Stang tabled {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for a pair of eights with a king-kicker, and took down the pot, after Vukovic mucked his hand.
