Targa Hits the Rail

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

On the tail end of a hand between Pietro Errante and Petr Targa, the latter shoved the river of a board {9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{K-Clubs}. Errante snap-called and Targa flipped over {K-Spades}{7-Clubs} for two pair, while Errante had {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} for a set of kings.

Petrushevskii Busts Again

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Only minutes after buying back in for the second bullet, Sergei Petrushevskii was eliminated for a second time and will have to wait until 6 p.m. for the second flight of the day in order to take another shot at the €2,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Francisco Quevedo also busted, while Liang Feng did so before immediately re-entering.

Boatman Shoves the Flop

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

With more than 7,500 already in the middle, the flop showed {7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Konstantinos Tsirakidis as well as Jean-Noel Thorel checked to Barny Boatman. The two-time WSOP bracelet winner moved all in and Tsirakidis quickly folded. Thorel asked for a count and the shove of Boatman was for 6,500, which had the Frenchman covered to enforce a fold.

Aleksandar Tomovic is back in action after surrendering his short stack at the end of a starting day, having lost a 250,000 pot at the very end. Tomovic has started well into Day 1e thus far.

Re-Entry for Israelashvili and Petrushevskii

Level 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

Players are allowed to re-enter once per starting day and among the first to do so on Day 1e were Roland Israelashvili and Sergei Petrushevskii. The latter busted in a three-way all in with Gerhard Schubert and Shabtai Koren, as Koren turned two pair and rivered a full house with {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}.

Next to Koren sits Luis Dono, who already cashed in two events of the 2017 World Series of Poker here in Rozvadov.

Freitez Shows Top Pair

Level 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

After a raise to 400, Jesper Hansen called and Ivan Freitez three-bet to 1,200. Sergei Petrushevskii called from one seat over and the initial raiser as well as Hansen came along. On the {K-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop, the action checked to Freitez and his bet of 4,200 forced quick folds from opponents, Freitez flashed {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} for top pair and top kicker.

Targa Rivers Set to Remain in Contention

Level 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

Markus Guazzone and Pietro Errante built their stacks on the same table as Fabrice Soulier and Jean-Noel Thorel while Petr Targa was spotted all in and at risk before the flop. Soulier and Errante were still to act with the flop showing {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{4-Spades} and Errante bet 2,500 from the cutoff. Soulier moved all in and the Italian folded, claiming he had ace-nine.

Petr Targa: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Fabrice Soulier: {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

The {7-Hearts} turn was a blank, but the {6-Hearts} on the river gave Targa a winning set and he more than tripled up his short stack.

Pettersson and Schuhl Build Stacks

Level 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

Patrick Schuhl raised to 350 and Theodoros Aidonopoulos called in the cutoff before the small blind called. Davida Nughes in the big blind three-bet to 1,550 and Schuhl was the only caller. The flop fell {K-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Nughes bet 1,300, which Schuhl raised to 3,100. That was enough to force a fold and Nughes flashed {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}.

Thomas Pettersson was involved into a bigger pot with Ali Khaled and bet the {Q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{7-Spades} turn for 2,500 into a pot of 3,200. Khaled had been very talkative on the table already and eventually folded.
