Negreanu Scoops Pot Against Blumstein

Level 5 : 300/300, 500 ante

Daniel Negreanu min-raised from middle position and action folded around to Scott Blumstein who defended his big blind.

When the {k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop hit the felt, Blumstein check-called Negreanu's 700 continuation bet only to check-fold after Negreanu fired out 3,200 on the {a-Diamonds} turn.

Pupillo Fires the River

Level 5 : 300/300, 500 ante

Action folded around to Nick Pupillo who raised to 1,200 from the cutoff and the big blind defended to see a {4-Spades}{a-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flop. Pupillo continued for 1,000 and his opponent check-called bringing the {9-Clubs} turn which was checked by both players.

The {10-Spades} river paired the board and put three spades on the board but that didn't slow down Pupillo who took down the pot with a 4,500 uncontested bet.

Chris Brewer Transitions from Collegiate Runner to High-Stakes Pro

Level 5 : 300/300, 500 ante

Chris Brewer

Not many experiences can ready you for the high-stakes poker scene, but Chris Brewer’s career as a collegiate runner at the University of Oregon has seemingly prepared him well for a life in pressure poker.

After waking up early every day to compete with the best runners in the world, life in poker is relatively simple by comparison for the 27-year-old from California. The schedule is much easier and the grind is more rewarding, which made for a smooth transition into a poker career immediately out of college.

Brewer has been on a tear both online and in live tournaments, something that he has only recently started playing with more frequency. His massive online success includes a quarterfinal finish in the 2020 WSOP $10,000 Online Heads-Up No-Limit Hold'em Championship and a recent win in the $10,000 High Roller tournament during partypoker's WPT Online series in May.

Brewer has also run well on the live tournament scene, where he had three top-three finishes at the Wynn High Rollers series at the end of 2020. In January, Brewer beat 21 entrants to claim the $113,400 first prize in the third event on tour at the Aria High Roller series.

Moorman Folds to Wenzl

Level 5 : 300/300, 500 ante

Chris Moorman opened for 1,200 from under the gun and found three callers that saw a {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{q-Hearts} flop. Action was checked to Moorman who continued for 1,500 and only Robert Wenzl called from the hijack.

Once the {4-Spades} hit the felt on the turn, Moorman checked to Wenzl who moved all in for 8,800. Moorman spent some time in the tank but ended up mucking his hand.

Varnell Wins With Aggression

Level 5 : 300/300, 500 ante

Action on the table folded around to the hijack who raised and only Craig Varnell called on the button.

The flop came {8-Spades}{a-Spades}{k-Hearts} and Varnell's opponent check-called his 4,500 bet bringing the {4-Clubs} turn. Action was checked again to Varnell who tossed out a 20,000 bet and this time his opponent elected to muck their hand,
