Boika Doubles Through Polke

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

We found Aliaksei Boika all in and at risk for his last roughly 100,000 before the flop against Milan Polke. Pole tabled {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and was racing against Boika's {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}.

A grin materialized over Boika's face as the dealer spread out the {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop, pairing Boika's ace and giving him the significant edge in the hand. The turn was the {6-Spades} and the river the {K-Hearts}, ensuring that Boika would be able to double up this hand. He scooped the pot and now has about 210,000 while Polke has fallen to about 355,000.

Then after surviving the bubble bursting a while ago, made off with a nifty €8,680 cash for a 146th-place finish.

Daher in Action

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Albert Daher

It looks like Antonio Brando has lost a big pot to Albert Daher since we last visited the table. Brando was down to 75,000 and a short while later has slightly increased it to 90,000 by shoving over the top of min opening bets. Meanwhile Daher was using his chips to play a hand with Thomas Butzhammer which was similar to the one Blain played with him.

Butzhammer opened for 12,000 and Daher called from the big blind. They saw a flop of {4-Clubs}{k-Spades}{5-Spades}. Checked to Butzhammer who bet 14,000 and was called. Turn {q-Diamonds} and they both checked. The river was the {4-Spades}. In the last hand Butzhammer’s opponent saw a scare card and checked it over, but here Daher saw the seemingly harmless {4-Spades} as a reason to bet. He fired out 47,000. Butzhammer thought and made the cal. Daher was bluffing and mucked so Butzhammer didn’t have to show his cards but
