Kurko Eliminates Adolfsson

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Picking up with the action on the feature table, we found Niclas Adolfsson all in before the flop for his last 295,000. Adolfsson held {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} but was crushed by Kimmo Kurko's {K-Spades}{k-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Kurko's kings held up. Adolfsson made an exit from the tournament area and Kurko brought his stack up to 776,000.

Butzhammer Takes One from the Ambassador

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Full Tilt Ambassador Dermot Blain opened for 12,000 and was three bet by PokerStars player Thomas Butzhammer to 26,000. It was folded back round to Blain who chose to call. They saw a flop of {4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{9-Spades}. Blain checked, Butzhammer continued the aggression and bet 25,000. Blain called and they saw a turn card {q-Diamonds} which they both checked. The last card was a dangerous looking {a-Hearts}. Blain checked and Butzhammer bet 55,000 to take it down.

Danilyuk Doubles

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

The flop read {7-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades} when we heard the shout of an all in and a call from the table's dealer. Upon arrival, we found Andrey Danilyuk all in and at risk against Michel Pecheux. Danilyuk held an over pair to the board with his {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} but was crushed by Pecheux's bigger over pair with {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}.

Tournament staff advised the dealer to proceed with the rest of the hand and he produced the {J-Hearts} on the turn. Danilyuk was one card away from elimination, but was suddenly saved when the {9-Spades} hit the river and gave him a winning straight. He was able to double up and now sits on about 124,000.

Mosele Runs Into Aces

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

After some numerous raises, Massimo Mosele got his stack of 92,000 all in preflop holding the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} over at the feature table. Unfortunately for him, Kimmo Kurko woke up with the {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}.

The {k-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop was no help to Mosele, but the {9-Diamonds} turn was as he picked up a flush draw. Fortunately for Kurko, the {4-Hearts} river didn't complete his opponent's draw and his pocket rockets held.
