A Seven-Bet Shove

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

It all started when Sebastian Trisch opened in the hijack seat. The action folded to Aku Joentausta, who three-bet to 3,000 from the big blind, and Trisch responded with a four-bet to 6,600.

Joentausta wasn't going anywhere, and he cut out chips, five-betting to 13,800. Not to be outdone, Trisch six-bet to 22,475, and Joentausta ended it all by seven-bet shoving for effectively 75,000.

Trisch snap folded, leaving himself with around 52,000 chips. Joentausta now has 147,000.

Keiner and Sarwer Depart

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante
Michael Keiner
Michael Keiner

Whilst Michael Keiner was being ousted from the tournament by Barny Boatman a slight shocked Jeff Sarwer stopped and told PokerNews of another nasty EPT exit.

He had pocket eights on a {9-}{8-}{5-}{5-} board and called a bet before his opponent shoved 2.5 times the pot on a blank river. Sarwer called and was shown pocket nines. Ouch.

Back to the Team Pro Keiner who moved all in on a {8-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop holding {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}. Boatman called him with {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and the board ran out {7-Spades}{a-Diamonds}.

Getting Value from King-High

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Yury Gulyy opened to 1,200 in early position, Kyosti Isberg called in middle position, Ismail Erkenov three-bet to 2,500 in the cutoff, and Kaspars Kazaks cold-called in the small blind. Gulyy folded to the three-bet, and Isberg called.

The flop fell {4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, all three players checked, and the turn brought the {q-Diamonds}. The trio checked again.

The {4-Spades} completed the board, and Kazaks checked a third time. Isberg fired out 2,700, Erkenov folded, and Kazaks tanked for quite some time before making the call. Isberg showed {7-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for fours and threes, and Kazaks showed {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for king-high.

More for Vassallo

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante
Giuseppe Vassallo
Giuseppe Vassallo

Giuseppe Vassallo had added more to his chip mountain after forcing an opponent off his hand.

Around 25,000 had made it into the middle by the time the board rested as {j-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. Vassallo bet 10,400 and waited for his opponent to tank fold.

Voth Sitting Pretty

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Ronny Voth and Nandor Solyom took a flop together that brought forth {4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} onto the felt. Voth checked and Solyom fired out 900. Voth stayed in to see the {2-Clubs} hit the turn where he checked once more.

Solyom fired 2,625 and Voth wasted little time making it 6,900 to go. Solyom heaved a sigh and released his cards.

The pot was pushed to Voth who added chips to his already massive stack. Voth is sporting about 175,000 right now while Solyom has about 39,000.

Seiver Chops One

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante
Scott Seiver
Scott Seiver

The board read {A-Clubs}{8-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Spades} when there were still four players willing to invest chips. We just caught the end of it as Seiver made the call from the button.

On the river the {6-Hearts} hit and the small blind checked. The big blind bet 6,200 and Norbert Hoiting raised to 14,150 from the cutoff. Seiver counted down his chips and called after which the two other players folded. Hoiting showed {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and chopped against Seiver's {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}.

The two "winning" players patted each other on the back and seemed happy with the result.
