Mateos Doubles Again

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Adrian Mateos scored another double-up, this time through Danut Chisu. Mateos check-raised all in with {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades} on a flop of {J-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}. Chisu called with {K-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, but blanked on the {J-Diamonds} turn and {Q-Diamonds} river.

Penalty for Drinan, Triple for Petrangelo

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

We missed it but were informed Connor Drinan received a one-round penalty for a hand where he exposed his card a little bit too soon. He made a bet of 25,000 on the river and Sergey Sergeev announced all in. Apparently, Drinan didn't hear that and as Sergeev put in 25,000 first, Drinan thought he had called and not shoved. Drinan folded and on top had to sit out for one-orbit. Since the table was 6-handed, he only missed 6 hands.

While Drinan was gone, Michael Ho raised under the gun to 5,200. His neighbor Sergey Sergeev three-bet to 15,700 and big blind Nick Petrangelo called all in for 5,900. Ho folded and Petrangelo showed {3-Hearts}{3-Spades}. Sergeev tabled {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} but the chips would go to Petrangelo as the board came {3-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}.

Cate Hall
Cate Hall

Cate Hall was down to her last 26,900 and open-shoved from middle position. Paul Newey was interested and called from the cutoff, the other players folded.

Cate Hall: {K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Paul Newey: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

The board ran out {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, giving Hall trips tens to secure the double-up.

Ho Doubled Through Neuville

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

We missed the exact action but saw a three-bet of 14,200 in front of small blind Pierre Neuville and a push for 67,200 by under the gun player Michael Ho. Neuville called with {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and Ho showed {A-Spades}{K-Spades}. The board ran out {J-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{6-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Ho doubled.

Pierre Neuville

We caught the tail-end of a big hand between Nick Petrangelo and Pierre Neuville. The 2015 November Niner from Belgirum had {K-Diamonds}{6-Spades} on a board of {4-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} against Petrangelo's {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}. The American had to pay off 46,200 on the river, leaving him with just 10,000 behind.
