Pecheux Needled on Way Out

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Ferit Gabriellson jammed from the button. Erwann Pecheux took a few moments before he called.

Erwann Pecheux: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Ferit Gabriellson: {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

Pecheux started to get up as he saw the door card and the flop came {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} to hit trip nines for Gabriellson. The turn wrapped it up as the {k-Spades} came off for the full house. The river was the {7-Clubs} for an extra needle to Pecheux as his full house was no good.

Plenty of Pain at Table 1

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

With payouts growing and decisions looming larger, a pair of recent dives into the tank at Table 1 have eaten nearly 20 minutes off the tournament clock.

First, on a turn board reading {5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, Manuel Gonzalez faced an all-in bet for his 610,000 chip stack from Ermanno Di Nicola. After nearly ten minutes, the clock was called on Gonzalez, who took that full 30 seconds before cursing and sliding his cards into the muck.

Then, on a river of {8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{j-Diamonds}, Jonathan Therme bet 215,000 and was check-raised all-in by Pedro Marques. Therme tanked for over five minutes before surrendering his cards and a big portion of his stack to Marques.

Montone Carves More From Shehadeh

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

The flop read {7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}. Diego Montone bet 100,000 from the big blind, he was raised to 225,000 by Luigi Shehadeh and Montone called.

The turn was the {3-Diamonds}. Montone bet 150,000, Shehadeh called.

The river came the {5-Clubs}. Montone pushed forward a bet of 225,000. Shehadeh called within seconds.

Montone tabled the {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for the nut-straight, while Shehadeh muttered in Italian and showed the {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} as he sent more of his dwindling chip stack away.

Atilla the Done

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Attila Kassitzky moved all-in from the cutoff for 425,000, then on the button Ferit Gabriellson moved over top of him for approximately a million. The blinds folded and Kassitzky was at risk.

Attila Kassitzky: {k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Ferit Gabriellson:{q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

The board came {8-Clubs}{9-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs}{4-Spades}, bringing no help to Kassitzky and sending him to the rail.

Jaksland Hits Straight to Double

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

It folded to Luigi Shehadeh in the small blind who jammed all in and Peter Jaksland called from the big.

Peter Jaksland: {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Luigi Shehadeh: {8-Spades}{4-Spades}

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, the turn was the {8-Diamonds} to give Jakslund a straight and the river was the {4-Diamonds} to give Shehadeh a no good two-pair as he lost a few chips from his big stack.

Big Stack Blind Battle Ends With a White Flag

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

With 400,000 in the pot already on the turn board of {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, Ermanno Di Nicola bet 310,000 from the small blind into Mauricio Pais' big blind.

Pais called to see the {9-Spades} fall on the turn and this time, Di Nicola checked. Pais checked back and then Di Nicola simply tossed his cards into the muck, surrendering the nearly one million chip pot to his neighbor.

Pais looks stunned and flipped over {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, which Di Nicola insisted was indeed good.

El Yakoubi Overcomes Ladies

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Mosjin El Yakoubi was gathering a double up with his {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} over the {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} of Andrea Ricci after the flop had come {7-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} to flop El Yakoubi the full house and overcome the queens.

The turn was the {8-Spades} and the river the {k-Spades} to give Ricci the flush but it was no good up against the flush as he was cut dow to a short stack.
