Matan Krakow
Matan Krakow

Every winter, Matan Krakow makes it a point to travel from his home in Israel to play in the PokerStars European Poker Tour Prague. It’s his favorite stop of the year. It’s where he first cashed in an EPT festival nearly fifteen years ago. And in December, at the final table of the 2025 EPT Prague Main Event, Krakow enjoyed his crowning achievement in a long career in the poker industry.

Krakow spiked a flush on the river to defeat Turkey’s Bora Kurtulus heads up and capture the prestigious PokerStars golden shard trophy and €778,255 top prize for prevailing over the 1,224-entry field.

“It’s more exciting than I can put into words. It’s a dream come true. It really is,” the new champion said with the gold-plated trophy by his side and confetti strewn across the floor, taking in the scene that most poker players can only dream of.

Mulder Chipping Back Up

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Sergei Bagirov checked from the big blind on a 8Q8 flop. Teun Mulder was the only other player in the pot and placed a bet of 600, which Bagirov raised to 1,500.

Mulder called to the J turn, where he also called when Bagirov continued firing for 2,200.

Terry Jordon three-bet to 4,000 in the big blind and was called by Vitalijs Korhs in middle position, Soraya Estrada on the button, and Parham Ahoor in the small blind.

"Family pot," Jordon said as they went four-handed to the 863 flop. Action checked around to Estrada who bet 4,000, and only Jordon and Korhs called.

Jordon asked to see Estrada's remaining stack going to the K turn. "I can use a double up," Jordon said, leading out for 5,000. Both Korhs and Estrada called, and the A fell on the river. Jordon then bet 12,500.

Korhs quickly folded, but Estrada moved all in for 22,900. "I know you have a set, but how do I fold this? I bet it's threes, because I lose to threes all the time," Jordon said, tossing in the chips to call.

Estrada didn't have threes, but she did show 88 for a set of eights. Jordon tossed AK into the muck and handed over the double up.
