Kang Loses Race To Bust in 28th Place

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Webber Kang moved all in over the top of Khoa Nguyen's reraise and Nguyen would make the call with {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}. He was racing against Kang's {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} and would win the race easily when the board ran out {J-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{5-Spades} to give him a full house. Kang was eliminated in 28th place. They are redrawing to three tables -we'll have the updated seating and chip counts shortly.

Esther Taylor Hits Gutshot to Double

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Esther Taylor
Esther Taylor

A short-stacked Esther Taylor moved all in first to act for her last 335,000 from the cutoff and Travis Rice moved all in from the button. The blinds folded and Taylor would be taking {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts} up against Rice's {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}.

The flop came {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} to give Rice top pair and Taylor a gutshot. She would hit that draw on the {9-Clubs} turn and the river would be the {6-Clubs}. Taylor more than doubled up to 750,000 while Rice dropped to 1,900,000.

Fabian Over Cheong

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Joseph Cheong raised to 70,000 from late position and Vasile Fabian cut out a three-bet to an unknown amount from the small blind. The big blind folded and Cheong flatted the three-bet.

The flop came down {7-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Fabian checked to Cheong. He rapped the table back, allowing the {10-Clubs} to hit the felt on the turn. Two more checks occurred and the {8-Clubs} finished off the board. Fabian fired 225,000, Cheong called, and Fabian showed {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for sevens full of tens. Fabian took down the pot and brought his stack to about 1.7 million.

Chris Drake Doubles Up With Aces

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Chris Drake
Chris Drake

We didn't catch the action but all the money was in pre-flop with Chris Drake holding {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} against his opponent's {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}. Drake would end up hitting an unneeded set to score the massive double up to 2,300,000. His opponent was left with just under half a million after the cooler.

Lewis Can't Lay Down Top Pair

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Travis Rice
Travis Rice

We got to the table with 275,000 already in the pot and Austin Lewis facing an all in reraise from Travis Rice after he had raised to 250,000. The board was {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{A-Clubs} and Rice sat motionless, looking down at his stack.

Lewis stood up muttering "crazy" to himself. He took his hat off and ran his hands through his hair.

"I think I know exactly what you have," said Lewis to a non-responsive Rice. "I'm 88%... 90% sure... I know exactly what you have. I hope I don't fold this."

"I want to fold it but I don't think I can," Lewis continued. A sigh. "Brutal. This is painful. What would a good player do right now?"

No longer able to take the agony, Lewis said the words... "I call."

He wished he hadn't as Rice turned over {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for a turned flush. Lewis had {A-Hearts}{K-Spades} and would need an ace or six on the river to stay alive. The river was neither as it was the {4-Hearts}.

"Nice hand," said a disappointed Lewis as he shook Rice's hand. Rice moved to 2,200,000 with that sizable pot.

Baker Drags Nice Pot

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
David "ODB" Baker
David "ODB" Baker

David "ODB" Baker was facing a raise to 50,000 and bumped it up light to 75,000. It was folded back to the original raiser who called. The flop came {9-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and Baker would have his 75,000 bet check-called by his opponent. The turn was the {6-Spades} and again Baker would get check-called with his bet being 100,000 this time.

The river was the {7-Spades} and Baker's foe checked once again. This time Baker put out a bet of 270,000 and was quickly called. Baker tabled {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a full house with a sheepish grin saying "I misclicked pre-flop." His opponent turned over {K-Spades}{9-} for top pair that had turned into a king high flush on the river.

Baker is up to 1,750,000 after the hand, a far cry from where he was earlier in the day when he was down to 125,000.
