Campanello Takes Out Samples

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Lynn Samples
Lynn Samples

It was folded to Lynn Samples on the button who moved all in for approximately 300,000. The small blind folded and Bryan Campanello quickly called out of the big blind with {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}. Samples would need some help as she had {A-Hearts}{3-Clubs}.

The board ran out {K-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} to eliminate Samples. Campanello added the much needed chips to his stack and had 850,000 at the end of the hand.

Helder Cracks Rice's Aces

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Jason Helder
Jason Helder

A player in early position opened for 40,000 and Jason Helder flatted from middle position. Shawn Rice reraised to 140,000 and the original raiser folded. Helder moved all in and was snap-called by Rice who turned over {A-}{A-} and was in great shape to double up against the {10-}{10-} Helder had.

The flop came {J-}{9-}{2-} keeping Rice in the lead but the turn would give Helder some life as it was the {7-}. Any ten or eight would crack Rice's aces and it would be the eight that would end up doing him in on the river. A disappointed Rice headed off to collect his winnings while Helder stacked 2,300,000 in chips to move into the chip lead.

Nguyen Wins Massive Pot to Bust Tong

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Khoa Nguyen
Khoa Nguyen

We didn't catch the action but all the chips went in the middle on a {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop and Kris Tong was at risk with {J-}{J-} and in need of help as Khoa Nguyen held {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} for a flopped set. The turn was the {A-Hearts} and the river was the {Q-Clubs} and that would be the end of Tong's tournament.

Nguyen moved up to 1,850,000 in chips which looks to be the chip lead at this point.

Fabian Gets Tricky

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

A player in early position opened for 50,000 and Vasile Fabian flatted one spot to his left. It was folded to Kris Tong who reraised to 130,000. The original raiser tanked for a minute before folding and the action was back on Fabian. He thought for a moment and then pushed forward a large stack of chips for a four-bet of 325,000. Tong thought for just a moment before tossing his cards to the dealer.

"Show?" asked Tong. Fabian wasn't going to at first but then obliged saying "I only play aces" as he turned over {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}.

Tong is still in good shape with 1,050,000 in chips while Fabian moved up to 850,000.
