Hutter Ends Wang

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Barry Hutter
Barry Hutter

Barry Hutter and Michael Wang just played a pot for over 1 million in chips. The result of which brought Hutter to 1.8 million.

In preflop action, Hutter raised to 38,000 from the hijack seat. Wang reraised to 86,000 on the button, and Hutter got an exact count of the raise before he called. The flop came out {a-Spades}{2-Spades}{8-Hearts}, and Hutter checked to Wang, who bet 60,000. Hutter check-raised to 117,000, and Wang took a moment before he called.

The turn was the {5-Hearts}, and Hutter went all in with his stack of around 1 million, having Wang more than covered. Wang had about 450,000 remaining and counted out his chips several times, thinking through the hand. He eventually decided to call and was drawing thin when Hutter turned over the {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for top two pair. Wang showed one pair with the {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}.

The river blanked off as far as Wang was concerned, and he was eliminated.

Conway Doubles Through Lapossie

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Matt Lapossie raised to 32,000 from middle position before David Conway reraised all in for 104,000 on the button. Lapossie made the call with the {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts}, and Conway's tournament life was on the line with the {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}.

Thanks to the {K-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} run out, Conway was safe and he doubled up to 250,000. Lapossie was left with 740,000.

Agrawal Eliminates Henson

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Ray Henson (Day 1c)
Ray Henson (Day 1c)

From early position, Michael Wang opened with a raise to 35,000. Ray Henson was next to act, and he gave it some thought before reraised all in for 214,000. Play then slid over to Numit Agrawal in the cutoff seat. He made the call. Everyone else folded, and it was Agrawal's {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} up against Henson's {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}.

Agrawal flopped top set on the {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop to make matters worse for Henson. After the {2-Spades} hit the turn, Henson was drawing dead and wished the table good luck. The river completed the board with the {6-Spades} to officially end the hand.
