Antonio Buonanno opened for 12,000, and got calls from Toby Lewis and Christian Christner. Danny Laming squeezed al in for 129,000 from the big blind. Buonanno made the call, both Lewis and Christner folded.

Buonanno had {9-}{9-} and Laming showed {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}. What started as a race, was no race anymore after the nine-high flop. Buonanno flopped top set and turn and river couldn't save Laming.

Maxim Panyak Eliminated in 40th, Andrey Pateychuk Departs in 39th (€8,500)

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Andrey Pateychuk
Andrey Pateychuk

Maxim Panyak has been eliminated from the tournament. Details of the Russian's bust out are missing so far, but we do have the details of Andrey Pateychuk's bust out.

Pateychuk shoved all in from middle position, and Dimitrios Ballas right next to him over shoved. All other players folded their hands quickly, and it was time for Pateychuk to get the bad news.

Dimitrios Ballas: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}
Andrey Pateychuk: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}

The {4-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} on the flop brought not much of anything besides some back door draws for Pateychuk, and by the time the {5-Spades} hit the turn it was time for him to get up from the table. The {4-Diamonds} hit the river, and the Day 1a chip leader made his exit.

Dimitrios Ballas in the mean time is back to 235,000, from an all time low of just 4,000.

Albert Daher Eliminated in 41st Place (€8,500)

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Albert Daher
Albert Daher

Albert Daher was the chip leader at the start of the second day of play, but has just been eliminated in 41st place.

He lost most of his stack against Igor Devkin. Daher had the best of it going in with {A-}{8-} as Devkin had {K-}{Q-}. The king-queen won though, leaving Daher with just two big blinds.

Not much later, Daher committed his last chips with {7-}{9-} off suit. Alexander Nudin made the call with {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. and hit two pair on the flop, leaving Daher drawing very slim. The turn and river were of no help for Daher, and the Lebanese player headed to the pay out desk.

Chouity Eliminates Pecheux

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Nicolas Chouity opened the button to 12,000, and small blind Elias Pecheux three-bet to 48,000, clearly committing himself. The big blind folded, and Chouity thought for a long time. He eventually pushed all in, knowing he didn't have much fold equity. Pecheux called.

Elias Pecheux: {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}
Nicolas Chouity: {A-Hearts}{5-Spades}

The {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades} flop favored Chouity, and the {2-Clubs} on the turn and {2-Spades} on the river did Pecheux no good either. Pecheux departed in 42nd place.

Dimitrios Ballas Back In Action

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Dimitrios Ballas opened to 13,000 under the gun plus one, and Andrejs Perederejevs shoved from the button for 79,000. Both blinds folded, and Ballas made the call.

Ballas had {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}, and was up against {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. The {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{K-Hearts} favored Perederejevs, and Ballas was left with just 4,000.

Ballas then doubled three times ({10-Spades}{4-Clubs} hitting a ten against {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts} winning from {5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, and {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} making a full house against {Q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}), and worked his stack up to 114,000!
