Troyanovskiy Out of the Door

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

In a previous hand, Vladimir Troyanovskiy lost the vast majority of his stack to Zo Karim and was then all in for his last 9,500 chips preflop. Alexander Lakhov and another opponent had called that, the Russian then bet the {J-Hearts} {6-Spades} {A-Spades} {6-Clubs} turn to enforce a fold of the other player. Troyanvskiy was already drawing dead with {Q-} {5-} against the {A-Clubs} {K-Hearts} of his countryman and the river card didn't matter anymore.

This brings us down to the last four tables and the payout is only nine spots away.

David Vamplew and Nikolay Tsanev
David Vamplew and Nikolay Tsanev

After a raise by Chris Hunichen, David Vamplew moved all in and Nikolay Tsanev called all in for less, Hunichen got out of the way. It was the {K-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} for Vamplew against the {A-Spades} {Q-Spades} of Tsanev and the day 1b chip leader was drawing dead after the turn of a {A-Diamonds} {10-} {7-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} {X-} board.

Kürschner Doubles

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

While Viacheslav Igin busted under unknown circumstances, Matthias Kürschner called the four-bet shove of Niclas Adolfsson and was the player at risk for his last 123,500 with {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs}. Adolfsson had {J-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} and could not dash out the crucial blow on a board of {2-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} {8-Diamonds}.

Salvatore Pepi also doubled up with {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs} against the {Q-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} of Nikolay Tsanev. The board ran out {5-Clubs} {6-Spades} {3-Spades} {5-Hearts} {4-Spades}.

An Ace from Space for Naydenov

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Simeon Naydenov raised and four players called to see the flop of {9-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {2-Spades}. Naydenov made the continuation bet and only Luca Faggioli called to see the {6-Diamonds} on the turn. Naydenov moved all in with {A-Hearts} {A-Clubs} and Faggioli called with pocket queens. The {A-Diamonds} on the river gave the Bulgarian the higher set and he increased the lead further.

Klüpfel Next Short Stack with Aces

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Jonathan Klüpfel raised to 9,000 and Andy Seth three-bet out of the big blind. The German moved all in for 106,000 with {A-Spades} {A-Hearts} and Seth called with {J-Spades} {J-Hearts}. There was no surprise on the {4-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} board and Klüpfel doubled up.

Wheeler Back in the Tournament

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

After a couple of smaller pots, Jason Wheeler was all the way down to 65,000 chips half an hour ago but recovered to 121,000. He then got that stack in preflop with {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} against the {A-} {J-} of Zo Karim and the board ran out {Q-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} {3-Diamonds}. Wheeler made the nut flush on the river and doubled up.
